This park features a view of Cook Inlet from wooden
platforms. The monument commemorates the 200th anniversary
of Captain James Cook's exploration of the area on his
third and final voyage. Nearby Point Woronzof was the
site of a battle between Pacific Eskimos and Tanaina
Indians in the mid-1600s.
